St. Michael’s Woodshop

St. Michael’s Woodshop

Details

All of the workshops sponsored by Finger Lakes Woodturners Association are held at St. Michael’s Woodshop.

The Woodshop is in the basement of a 6 story office building, on the West side of St Paul Street, just north of the Genesee Brewery.

  • From the East, come in 490 West, across the river and on to the Inner Loop and exit on St Paul St heading north.
  • From the West, exit on to the Inner Loop from 490 East, then exit on St Paul St. heading North.

There is a parking lot just south of the building, but you might have difficulty finding a spot during the day. If you circle the lot and can’t find a spot, pull up to the main entrance and we will have someone with a cart so you can unload your tools and things, and then park in the overflow lot which a half block North (turn left on St Paul St out of the building lot), on the right (East) side. The building directly across St Paul from the St. Michael’s building is a city school district building and the lot is at the North end of that building. There is a separate file which is a Google Maps of the area around St Michael’s which also shows the secondary parking lot. Do not park in the spaces near the back of the lot that are lined in yellow paint, those are reserved, but the ones lined in white are OK to use.

When you arrive, please go to the main entrance and sign in with the guards. The woodshop is in the basement. We should have someone posted to take you down, or the guards can give direction.
