May 2013 Finger Lakes Woodturners Meeting
Finger Lakes Woodturners will hold our regular May club meeting on Thursday, May 16st. The meeting will be held at our normal meeting location and will begin at 6:00pm with a show and share of members work. A quick business meeting will commence at 6:45pm. Following the business meeting we will have our featured event.
This month will feature CNYWT members, Barb and Charlie LaPrease with Finishing and Marbling techniques for the Woodturner.
Charlie will be demonstrating several of his fool-proof finishing techniques and Barb will provide us with information on more decorative finishes, including marbling of turnings. Finishing is a topic that generates a lot of questions form turners of all levels. This should be a great opportunity for us to learn some new skills that we can put directly to use on our own work. Don’t miss it!
