Finger Lakes Woodturners December 2013 Meeting
Finger Lakes Woodturners will hold our regular December club meeting on Thursday, December 19th. The meeting will be held at our normal meeting location and will begin at 5:30pm with a special Holiday get together and show and share of members work. Don’t forget to bring some treats to share – the club will provide Cider. A quick business meeting will commence at 6:45pm. Following the business meeting we will have our featured event.
This month will FLWT member, David Gould with Thread Chasing for Boxes and Hollow Forms.
David has spent time with Mike Mahoney at Craft Supplies in Utah learning the tricks to make thread chasing an easy task. David will be demoing the what he has learned to all of us at the December meeting. This demo will be a great way to expand your skils paving the way to create more complex wood turnings and functional items. Turned Boxes are always a hit and this will be a great skill to develop to make some just in time for the upcoming Holiday gift giving season. Don’t miss this one – Hope to see you there!
