Finger Lakes Woodturners February 2017 Meeting
Finger Lakes Woodturners will hold our regular February club meeting on Thursday Feb 16th. FLWT member Mark Mazzo is our featured demonstrator, and Mark will be doing a survey of various embellishment techniques that he has used. The meeting will begin at 6:00pm with a show and share of members work, followed by a short business meeting which will commence at 6:30pm.
Mark will be showing examples of some of his work that include various embellishments. He’ll discuss some of the tools and materials used and will demonstrate as many of the embellishment techniques as practical. It’s important to realize that embellishments can be used as much or as little as you desire in your work. Even if you do not want to fully embellish a turned piece, many of the techniques are applicable as small features and accents to your turned works.
