OFFSET TURNING USING A REGULAR CHUCK AND REVOLVING TAILSTOCK PLATE: I will
show 3 different ways to attach the plate. I will also show how to present the grain you want to
show in your art piece rather than just accepting whatever appears randomly.

ONE SHADOW LINE TURNING: How to make plain wood stand out in the gallery.

INSERTS AND FINIALS FOR HOLLOW FORMS: All the tricks for success in turning, fitting and
finishing inserts and finials. I will demonstrate how to use a Sharpie Marker and super glue to
make any wood look like glassy black ebony.

SMALL VENEER LAYERS FOR BOWLS: Fun for the mini lathe crowd that want a colorful result
without all of the exactness required in segmented work.
