Finger Lakes Woodturners

Finger Lakes Woodturners will hold our regular October club meeting on Thursday, October 18th. The meeting will be held at our normal meeting location and will begin at 6:00pm with a show and share of members work. A quick business meeting will commence at 6:45pm. Following the business meeting we will have our featured event.  Remember that nominations are open through the end of this meeting for three Board positions (President, Vice President and Treasurer).  Please consider nominating yourself or someone else for a position to help the club.  Elections for these positions will be held at the November meeting.

This month will feature Finials by FLWT Librarian Gary Russell and FLWT Vice President Bruce Trojan.

This will be a great opportunity to learn two different techniques for creating those delicate finials that you see on ornaments and other turned items.  Both Gary and Bruce use different techniques to produce beautiful finials for their turnings and you will get to see both methods up close and to ask questions.  Come out and join us for an informative night, enjoy the company and and learn some great turning techniques.
